After settling on a new name and several lineup changes, the now-legendary Cryptopsy recorded their first demo as a five-piece in 1993. The band would go on to re-record most of these songs for their blasphemous full-length debut, but Ungentle Exhumation already bore their unmistakable mark on death metal. "Gravaged: A Cryptopsy" is split open by the hair-raising screech and brutal barks of Lord Worm, while Flo Mounier flogs closer "Mutant Christ" with unhinged technical precision. Dig back into the first demo from the most vile band in technical death metal.
